The first step is joining my custom waitlist. Fill out the form at the bottom of this page to start the process. Once you submit your info, I will review your submission within 2 to 4 weeks, and contact you with a quote, estimated start date and deposit amount required to secure your spot on my waiting list. Wait times are usually between 1 to 3 months. If a project is not a good fit for my skill set, artistic abilities or schedule, I can often provide a referral to another skilled metalsmith who can help bring your vision to life.
DESIGN
When it’s time to start your project, I’ll contact you to ask for any additional information needed to begin the design process. Then I’ll create at least 3 designs for you to consider based on your budget and design criteria. You’ll have the opportunity to provide feedback & I will modify the designs to incorporate any changes you’d like to see.
Custom Visayan Wedding Ring | 2019. Recycled 14K yellow gold and heirloom diamond from the Philippines. Designed, cast, hand-fabricated & finished by Samonte Cruz Studios. My trans/non-binary Filipinx client wanted to incorporate Filipino tribal motifs from their family’s region, the Visayas, located in the southern islands of Luzon. After some research I created several designs based around the motifs, as well as their heirloom gold and gemstones. Ultimately, my client decided to go with this big & bold design!
CREATION
This is really where the magic happens! Once you are completely satisfied with your design, I’ll bring it to life using a combination of traditional gold-smithing techniques; including hand-fabrication & the ancient method of lost wax casting. For more complex designs I use cutting edge technology in 3-D printing to create a life size model that will be molded & cast. To ensure top quality craftsmanship all casting are done in-house and all my work is finished by hand, which means carefully filing, sanding and polishing your piece into perfection.
FOREVER HOME
My favourite part of my process is contacting you to let you know your custom piece is ready for it’s forever home! I get so much satisfaction carefully packaging these tiny treasures for their journey. I ship worldwide and always provide insurance and tracking so that you can have peace of mind. I can’t tell you how happy I feel when I get pictures of my clients wearing their shiny new creations!

This young Filipino couple wanted each other’s Filipino tribal tattoo motifs inscribed into their rings which was such a great idea! I absolutely love how the delicate geometric lines contrast with the soft round seed pearls.
